Jubilee ... A season or an occasion of joyful celebration
We named our farm as an occasion of celebration. A dream of moving to the country to raise our children in the Glory of God's provision. To come back to simplicity in growing what we could off our own land, and praising the One who made it. An answered prayer, Jubilee Farm was founded in 2006.
Our ADGA registered Alpine and Nubian Dairy Goats have the run of the farm. We are up to 26 of these beauties. Mom Melanie has a love of goats... (which is quite odd to those who knew her as a city girl:)
We milk for our own milk to drink, cheeses, butter, and are making soaps. The three oldest show for 4-H and hope to get into showing some open shows.
Next we have 6 Beef Cows we hope to breed and continue to grow our herd. This is Dad Tim's forte' and hobby.
We have an abundance of chickens, both for Show in 4-H and open shows, eggs, and meat production. Dakota is our 'chicken man' raising Buff Orpingtons, Americaunas, Polish, and Bantams. We are hoping to get more into the raising of our own chicks for sale as well as eggs.
Our English Spot Rabbits are raised by the 2nd oldest Montana. He shows them in 4-H. His spots have a new enclosed area outside with a table to work on and Montana is excited to grow his group of 3.
Ducks, cats, and a Labradoodle round out our Farm:)
